I am going to talk about the examination period, which is probably one of the reasons why I have become bald.
I think that taking an entrance exam is a path that many people will take at least once.
Every day we wake up early in the morning to go to school to study, study after school, study on the train to home, and study until late at night when we get home…
Sometimes there were regular tests and mock exams, and I felt stressed because I didn’t do as well as I thought I would…
It was no exaggeration to say that at that time, I studied the hardest and felt the most stress in my life.
I also failed the entrance examinations during my senior year of high school and had to waste a year, so I was even more stressed here.
In this article, I have rethought and summarized whether baldness was caused by the stress of the exam period, along with my daily schedule at that time!
Before and after pictures of the exam period
It is a little hard to tell with the photo strip, but you can still see that the hair volume has decreased significantly.
The volume has also decreased, especially on the right front of my head.
I want to go back in time..
My schedule during the examination period
Daily Schedule
Next, I would like to describe my schedule just before the examinations in high school and my daily schedule when I was in the gap year.
【high school】
6:00 Wake-up
7:00 Leave home
8:30~ school
16:00~ cram school
23:00 get home
0:30 Bedtime
【gap year】
6:30 Wake-up
7:30 Leave home
9:00~ prep school
22:00 get home
23:00~ study&game
1:00~5:00 Bedtime
Both in high school and as a gap year student, I tried to study 10 hours a day, which inevitably meant less sleep.
Also, when I was in the gap year, I was addicted to smartphone games such as wargames and COD, and often stayed under the covers until dawn after the sun had set (^^;).
Possible causes of baldness
Possible causes of baldness, looking back on life at that time, are as follows
1. Stress from long hours of study
2. Short sleeping hours
3. Further decline in sleep time and quality due to staying up late playing games
4. Stress from grades not being as good as expected
Of these, I think the impact of the third factor, the further decline in sleep time and quality due to staying up late playing games, was extremely significant.
I used to play games as a way to relax, but when I think about it now, I feel that this disruption in my lifestyle affected my baldness, which in turn led to a decline in my grades, which in turn caused stress and created a vicious cycle.
Summery
I have titled this issue “Hair Loss Cause #1:The Stress of Entrance Exam,” but I have found that the direct cause was probably playing games that cut into my sleep time.
Studying for exams is indeed stressful, and it is often said that stress leads to baldness, but if you study for exams correctly and get enough sleep, you probably do not have to worry about leading to baldness!
In fact, no other students were bald except for myself.
I really regret my behavior at the time…
It is difficult to notice that you are becoming bald by yourself. By the time you realize it, it is usually too late. In my case, after I realized that I was going bald, I changed my lifestyle and tried to sleep at least 7.5 hours a day, but my baldness did not go away.
